Alternator question

I'm swapping a 86 model 4 cyl over to a V8, I am using a EFI motor thats converted to carb, I'm a little confused on the alternator, do I need an older style alternator with 1 wire hookup or can I pull something from a late model stang and make it work???? I also plan on running an electric fan so any help would be appreciated

You can wire a 3G up without any OEM wiring. Just in case that helps you.............
