alternator troubles

hey guys my alternator is being a little b***h. when i took it off for the engine swap i forgot to label where all the cables go. so now im not to sure where to hook them up to. i have 2 single cables with rubber covers and one cable that splits into 2 cables. with one end having a small ring for one of the posts on the alt. and one big ring that looks like it would be big enough for the bolts that go on the head. a ground maybe?

if Im correct (pretty sure... the one on the red boot is the positive, the white is stator wire and the big black is the case ground. Use a test light and put it on the positive terminal of the alternator...but the probe end on the big ring and spin it a bit and see if you can get a little glow going. If so, its the ground.
