Hey guys I have a stock alternator on my 91 gt and kinda wanted to upgrade. What are my options i see all these adds for 130 amp alts. is it an easy install? Plus will this help get rid of the diming of my headlights i got from installing underdrives? Dont you have to go from like a double plug to a single plug? How hard is that? and is there other cars i can get this stuff out of? Sn95 parts perhaps? im not scared of wiring i was just wondering what was the easiest and cheapest way to do this?

thanks
anthony

An alternator swap is probably the easiest thing I've ever done. The easiest hook up is with a one-wire alternator. All you gotta do is route that wire around and hook it up to your starter solenoid. Besides that its bolt for bolt. Piece of cake. Takes about 10 minutes for the inexperienced.

Plus the 130a over the stock (75a I believe) will help with your dimming headlights and such.

one of the first mods i would suggest. super simple and imho essential for the electrical system to ever run correctly.

There's a link in the Tech sticky if you want to read about what you need to do.

Like Mike [Grn92LX], I also have an alt and cable kit from another Mike [grn92conv]. Good stuff from a good guy. He does a very nice job on his cables and the kit is very complete.
