How fast are your aluminum heads getting hot? I started the motor today and it seemed like the heads were too hot to touch in like 5 min... Does that sound about right? I just finished putting it back togeather with the head gaskets the RIGHT way
Thanks

Yeah...that's pretty normal.

Just think of all the little explosions that are taking place directly underneath them.

aluminum conducts heat 3 times faster than steel or iron. which is GOOD! it means the heat isnt trapped inside and it radiating out. so the alum head will heat up much faster and become hot to the touch easier than iron heads.

sounds perfectly normal.
