seems to be a popular upgrade when the stock U Joints give out, thats when I got mine. Good Idea to have one if you want to throw a good amout of power to the car.

someone's caps lock button is stuck, or he must be really enthusiastic about driveshafts

All this screaming is giving me a headache!!!

IMHO it's not worth doing this mod unless you need a driveshaft. Don't expect to feel any power increase. Of course if your u joints are bad or if your driveshaft is out of balance and it's vibrating then going with the aluminum driveshaft is a good choice.

why, why, why???
all of you say they're worth it, but why? anyone have any dyno numbers to prove this, or an increase in gas milege or ANYTHING AT ALL to show why their worth it??? i know it logicaly makes sense, but some kind of proof is just more convincing. I'm asking cuz i'll be changing my clutch soon, so when i have the tranny down i was thinking of changing the drive shaft to aluminum one.

you will find that many folks who love their alum DS's have gears and most likely had some vibrations after the gear install. that is a very big reason why people get the DS's.

Saw a thread on Corral where a fellow 94-95 stanger did a dyno before and after and picked up like 11hp due to the aluminum DS freeing up hp to the wheels.

Happen to have the link?
The one I saw was only about 4rwhp & it was all up top in the rpm range.
He did a dyno comparison with adding a 65mm t body that showed a hp gain throughout the rpm band and then added the alum. d/s which did show a minimal gain, but like I stated it was up top.
