Aluminum Driveshaft problem

Ok, I got a bunch of crap from my parents from x-mas for my car and one of the things was an aluminum driveshaft. My car is in storage so I have no contact with it untill spring. Well I just looked at the box just out of the corner of my eye and saw 4.6 M/T. My car is 4r70w and my mom specified that and I opened the papers and it says its for a manual and I got all pissed off because it says 15 day return policy and I can't get a hold of the place. Will it still fit my car? Do they even make a aluminum DS for my car? What should I do? If it doesn't fit my car and I can't return it I'm screwed. Someone please help!! ~Tony

so you've got an auto yet the driveshaft is for the manual.
ebay it and get one for the auto or just call them up and explain what happened.

no, dont panic, all you have to do is change the yoke for it to fit on the auto. i ordered one too, and it was for manual as well.

I tryed to cal but they were closed. I know but I will lose so much money if I sell it on ebay. Its never been used so it would be nice if I could find someone on here to buy it from me for a few bucks less than I baught it for.

maybe post it in the classifieds...if you agree to split the shipping costs with someone, i'm sure you'll have a buyer for it pretty quickly..

the yoke? you use the one from the stock driveshaft

so I just take the stock yoke off and put it on the new driveshaft? thanks alot!! was it hard?

well, i researched it before i ordered, im barely getting mine in this thursday. but this is the same info Pete from mustangtuning.com told me to do as well right after i ordered it. so im not bs'n yah, and so you can sleep easier


o yeah, kinda didnt answer your Q..... i helped my dad swith yokes on his old ass chevy truck when i was a kid, and it was easy, i dont see why it should be any harder with this one

Guys, its no big deal. You just need to change the yoke as noted above.
