Aluminum Driveshaft vibration Q's

whats up guys...over winter i picked up anluminum driveshaft. put it on this weekend and did some test runs and now when i drive it going up the gears or downshifting and in netural it feels like stomehing is slapping my seat...i can feels the vibration through out the car. sometimes it suttle and sometimes it bad...i jack the car up and noticed it spinning unevenly...i just can put my finger on it??? any ideas...joints are tight as heck....all of the clips are on both ends...:bang: :bang: :bang: :bang:

unbolt it and turn it 90 degrees, try it out. if its not better, turn it another 90 degrees, until you get it just right.

Before I read that, my first thought was that because the alum DS's are about 1/2" larger in diameter than the stocker, your new alum DS might be rubbing a muffler, etc while driving.

What you said raises some red flags for me though. Get it figured out ASAP.

i marked it the first time then i did rotate it 90 degrees and still does the same thing...no rubbing issuses because im not running any mufflers...im going to drop it tonight and check the u-joints to see if one side is binding up and causing it...
 
ok, i just pulled out the aluminum shaft, the u-joint that goes into the tranny is a bit hard to move around. i compared it to my old and it much easier to move around. my old u-joint is greasable and the one on the aluminum is not greaseable. i dont know if the join is shot or if it needs to be balanced
