I'm considering running a aluminum flywheel on my car. I'm looking for someone with first hand experience using one on a car other than just for racing. It is a weekend only kind of car that is in the 400 horsepower range. I do some racing with it too. Thanks for any info.

I love mine. Would NEVER run anything else again. The lighter the better. Accelerate faster and less wear and tear on your crank :nice: I suggest fidanza aluminum flywheels.

You'll gain quicker revs and slightly better acceleration, but the trade off is that your RPMs will drop much faster between shifts. In some racing applications this can be a bad thing, but usually the gains will outweigh the losses. I don't personally run one but my buddy's 347 car that i race on occasion has one and i love it. Next time my clutch needs changed i may switch to aluminum myself. I'm running a FMS billet wheel right now.
