Can someone post some pics of how they mounted their aluminum radiator. I have a vertical tank setup and will need to mount it using top clips. I have already set up the bottom brackets using radiator seats from an old lincoln. I have already trimmed out the original indented radiator outline to provide full air flow. I will also have an aluminum trans cooler mounted out front and need info on the best mounting techniques for that as well. Any advice would be helpful. I can send a pick of the radiator as it sits if needed. Thanks.

Here is the only pic I have. Used aluminum angle top and botton. Top angle mounts to radiator and goes under the radiatior support. Bottom angle mounts on lower radiator lip and is turned toward the firewall. Very simple and effective. Make sure you use some "rubber" between radiator and mounting surface to help with vibration.

Our radiators have the same design; mounting fins on top and bottom and tanks to either side. I could not quite see the way it was mounted. Would it be too much trouble to get a closer pick? Thanks for the help

I mounted mine with aluminum straps bolted to the radiator brace.

thats a weird looking motor man!! lol its cool!!

has anybody tried to mount a fox aluminum radiarot?? a 27 or 30 wide? It would require relocatind the battery i think.

Converted,
Don't permanently mount the radiator until you have the engine mounted. Since you are running a late model fuel enjected the radiator hose passes right above the alternator. If you mount the radiator too low the alternator will rub on the hoses when the hose expands. I will be home
Wed nite so give me a call again.

I will call you, but the radiator is tall enough that rubbing on the alternator will not be a problem. Hey, I just picked up the Boyd Coddington rims with the Yokohama's already mounted. I have them on the car just to get motivated to move ahead with the project in the evenings. They look sooooo sweet. Even the wife is excited to have me finish. Wooohooo. Now I just have to find the time; somewhere between 9PM and 5:30AM would work. :bang:

Foolishly squandering your time sleeping again? :D

Luckily my boss is a super cool guy and doesn't mind when I sleep on the job.... ha ha, if only I had a boss, then I could at least call in sick once and a while.

About the radiator to high.. The cap is even with the top right side of radiator brace, so I think I am ok.

About the rims... and you getting the same ones... WHAT???? Go get your own cool wheels. :D Yeah your car will look almost as cool as mine. Talk to you on Wednesday, call me when you get back up from the 'Springs.

Historic- Thanks for trying to get better picks.
