Pro: the pre-87 cars are unique and they get rarer the older you go.

Con: Like said already, they are almost entirely mechanically inferior to the 87+ cars. HOWEVER, no Fox stays stock, and you're gonna replace parts anyway, so that's a moot point IMO.

So, it really comes down to how good of shape it's in... and that thing is a pile.

That looks like a good start. He said the price was negotiable so maybe you can grab it for $2500? Swapping it to a manual is not really all that hard and parts are plentiful. Plus the 5lug swap is already done.
