You will probably need to get extenstions, or extend them yourself. I certainly needed them for my BBKs. I dunno how quiet it will be but my car sure seems quieter than cars with shorties. I have an off road H-pipe and flowmasters.
Hope you don't mean you cut the sensor wires between the sensor and the connector, because that will essentially ruin the sensors. You need to extend the harness or use 02 sensor extender/adapters....
I know people will say they did it with no problems (or apparent problems) but I have seen many cars on the dyno where this WAS a major problem. If I were tuning it, I'd require new 02 sensors. Why? Because most 02 sensors get their reference 02 from the atmosphere (because it has 21% oxygen), through the insulation of the 02 sensor wires. When you mess up the insulation, you also could mess up the reference 02, then the readings attained by the sensor are skewed.
