I notice a huge trend recently. EVeryone is switching to the FR500s. They are a decent looking wheel. Just for me too much going on I guess. But I just like to keep things simple.

Since so many are switching to the FR 500, that just means more nice looking used sets for sale.

I'm with you on it. I thought I was the only one that don't really care for them. They do look nice but there is just something about them that I don't like.

No, you're not the only one. They are a very nice wheel, but IMO on a mustang they tend to look way too busy to me. I prefer a 5 spoke design, like the Y2k cobra R's and the 03 Cobra's. Some cars FR500's look perfect.

theyre one of the better designs that have come out for mustangs in a long time. the biggest seller being the widths you can get them versus other 5-spoke designs (minus the bullitt). also up until the FR500 your choice of mustang-specific wheels being Bullitts, Cobra (termie), Cobra R, was pretty bland. and even worse for the Bullitts once they became the standard for new-edge mustangs off the lot.

they look a little too busy to me.......... I'm not really a bullet fan either though, I don't get excited over a huge lip visible on the back

I have had them on my car now for almost 2 years and I really am not happy with the deep dish look on the 10.5" rear wheels either. I am looking at getting the '99 style saleen wheels and putting my FR500 on my '67 pick-up truck.

I love them, had them on my cobra the first month ford racing had them out. I originally wanted plasma BBS RKs but they were too expensive at the time so I went with the FR500s. I do like other wheels out there, I had real R58 95 Cobra Rs on my 88 and thought the 5 spoke design looked perfect on that car.

I hate FR500's too...They suck, they are a total ricer looking wheel.....LOL

JK...Just so u guys know, i am not following the trend because when I got my FR500's about a year & a half ago, they were pretty rare...Now every1 wants em....honestly i hated them at first, but then I saw them on a black 97 cobra & i knew those where the wheels I wanted.... Personally, I think nothin looks better than a deep lip in the rear, I want my lip even deeper

I don't much care for them either. I prefer the 5 star look and really like the bullets and cobra styles.

FR500s FTMFW!

I am not in it for the deep lip. I like em cause the FAT rubber. The lip is an extra bonus.

At night when the wheels are clean everyone thinks the rears are 19"s because of the reflection of the lip I guess..

Ok, u guys convinced me...My FR500s are too busy, they just dont look right on a Mustang, & its not good to be different....I think im just gonna go get some replica 17x9" 95 Cobra R's, I mean like no one has those....

I get a compliment almost everyday about my wheels, & everyone says how theyve never seen em B4... I like em for both the deep lip & the fat rubber. i wish the front even had a lip.

I wish the fronts had one too.

I have only had mine on for about a week, but I have got compliments several times everyday. Makes it all worth it.

They aren't as easy to clean as the more boring 5 spokes though.
