looks like it may have been pieced together from a few diff wrecked cars to me. why put an IRS in a SRA car?

something just seems odd about it!
For a lower HP street driven toy the IRS is the much better option. It will ride much better and track better on rough corners. It really only 1/4 mile duty and high HP applications when the SRA is the better choice.

12k for a car that the owner won't even pay to get aligned. There was a thread somewhere else on here about this car. I remember the painted valve covers. Not sure what was discussed. Anyway..... regardless of all the mods and swap parts, its still an 03 vert GT with 120k or what ever on it. 8-9k is all it'd be worth to me as you can buy a REAL mach for 13k now pretty easy.

That's Whiteboy's from Dallas Mustang isn't it?
If so, that car is really done right, he wanted a Mach 1 vert. He used the complete drivetrain (except the Cobra IRS) from a Mach, and also used all the Mach interior, and suspension. It's a top notch car.

so is the internal combustion engine...just because its old technology doesn't mean its not good

Yeah tell that to the guys on a guitar forum I go to. To them SRA is just plain stupid and Mustang owners only like Mustangs because of SRA but Cobra owners like IRS. I just keep scratching my head with these guys. To them there is nothing better than European or Japanese sports cars or even a Saturn Sky. They are big lovers of the exotics.....but to each his own I say, except for me of course they constantly blast on me about Mustangs.

I used to theink the IRS was the end all for handling but look at the new Mustang. It handles WAY better then the Challenger and Camaro and they both have IRS.

IRS is much better for regular roads though. It rides better and is less harsh. Also an IRS car will do better on the road then a live axle in the corners because lets face it, most roads are ruff and an IRS can keep both wheels planted. On the track the corners are flatter and usually cambered so a live axle can do as well or better.

Thats why I like that vert. It would have wonderful street manners. :nice:

Thats what irks me about these guys. I tell them SRA is better in the 1/4 but they wanna argue that IRS is just as good. Then they wanna say 1/4 is all about hp and testoserone and its not real racing like corner carving where IRS is better. I can't argue totally because I would love to have IRS in the stang.

I also try to tell them the Mustang is an unpainted canvas that most enthusiasts will go and start modding as soon as it sits in the driveway. They're an impossible group to debate with and one guy who is building an off road truck had to start a thread about his truck that he's putting SRA in and "that Mustang guys will love this" referring to me of course. I told him we don't love Mustangs because of SRA but because we love Mustangs, it was like talking to a brick wall as he posted 5 or 6 more times without replying to mine at all. I just quit going to the forum, its not worth my time.

Sorry about derailing your thread Laser. That car would be nice but like the other guys say its priced too high. Someone must have gotten a good deal on a wrecked Mach 1.
