question for you all....is it worth fixing a coupe? The yellow coupe I used to own was involved in a small fender bender....passenger fender, header panel and shelby apron to be exact. His kid, who I sold the car to originaly said to me tonight while he was here his dad wants to sell it. I have a header panel and a fender wouldn't be real hard to get, the shelby apron will be costly. I figured i would pull the motor out of it and use it in my cobra and do a full blown 302 roller/T-5 swap in the yellow monster...any thoughts??

Its never worth it!! Only if your up to the challenge (and have lots of available time and cash) then is it to be considered.

It's all up to personal preferance and what you plan on doing with it (keep it, resale, restore, etc..) Personally, i'm not really a coupe fan at all. Although I have owned my share and still have one Ghia which i am debating on it's fate just as you are yours. (Think I'm gonna fix it rather than part it out) If the price is right and you think you can make a few bucks in the process, why not fix'er up? Again, it's all personal preferance.

I know he had a piece of plate steel put in between the gas tank and the roll pan. I guess it's not so much is it worth it...I just feel bad for the car, I kept it in a garage, washed and waxed, this clod left it outside and drove it in the winter.

If you like coupes, then go for it. I had Ghias before Cobras, and those were some of the funest time of my life. Here is a pic of my 351 77 Ghia (with the motor out):
