And Here Comes the snow...

Well us here in the eastern part of Massachusetts finally got dumped on by 3" of snow, and the roads are covered in sand/salt so it looks like the car is going to sit for a while. The problems it goes off the road with is ticking coming from the engine while under load (probably timing related), exhaust leak at egr tube(still stock headers), and losing power from the battery due to an overcooking(voltage went up to 18V when alt reg went and had to drive 40 miles home). The car is off the road for the winter now and needs to be worked on. I am looking forward to my first winter with the car off the road. My plans for the winter in order:

TwEECer R/T (to fix timing problem)
Gears
Mac Prochamber/Mac Shorty Headers
Battery Relocation to the trunk

Car already has Trickflow heads/cam/intake and Pro-M 80mm with 24# injectors. It ran a 14.2 @ 99 due to spinning on street tires and me only driving a stick for approximately 6 months. Everytime I went to the track after the H/C/I I basically got towed home or went home on one leg, yet I am looking forward to opening day again at New England Dragway.

whell, same with me, im down on the cape, and its raining here today, but it will soon snow. I am currently looking for a winter beater. Once i get that, im going to paint my car, fix my tranny and get a tune. at the very least i gotta get rid of my 275 tires, teher gonna be sleds

I'm gonna have to drive my car this winter. Oh well, I'll just make sure she's washed. I will be savin money for a full exhaust, and hopefully put it on over Christmas break, then I think gears are up next on the list.

Was in Florida last week...you guys do have it dicked...

Today i woke up to a dusting of snow...but they put the freakin salt out like we had 6" or something...this a/noon it was 50 deg and sunny, so i banged the lawn out for the last time...freaky weather....

I washed mine, filled the tank and tucked it away last week.... Last year i drove til almost Christmas...

Im thinking single turbo for this Winters mod...still debating tho...

I live on the nothern tip of VA, sort of in the mountains, we get a good share of snow every winter. But my 5.0 is the only car I have, so I'm in a bit of a dilema.

Yea this snow sucksssssss. Its a good thing halo 2 came out so i have something to do on the ****ty days.

As far as the car goes im probably doing a couple gauges, and some DR's and thats it, i think its fast enough for now and i hate spending money.

lol, never again will i get that deep into a car .. I should have said i hate spending money on a car, after what happened with the last POS. Atleast my new car is worth what i paid for it still, so thats good and im only 6$ deep so far

I love snow and cold weather, I dunno if i could live in a place that is always warm. That would be sort of boring. I like the seasons. I don't know how people celebrate christmas down there when it feels like summer, lol.
