Your motor absolutely needs 3" exhaust. I switched from 2 1/2" to 3" and gained power from 3700 rpm up with my NA 306. It was down 10 ft-lbs at 3000 but up 10-15 ft-lbs above 3700. Peaked at 363 ft-lbs at the wheels at 5200 rpm.

Yeah I'm very happy with it. I'm running a custom 3" x-pipe and 3" Dynomax Ultraflos dumped.

Jesus christ Rick, 4inch!! Wow, is it on the car yet? Dumped I assume?? Demongt, I have yet to put it on the car, just got it yesterday. I'm running 275/50's on 15x7's with 5.5bs. Hope they fit, if not I will run a spacer. I have 3inch studs on the axles so I wont be scared to space them out some if I have to.

ive thought sometimes about getting 3 inch because of my power levels. But for everything I change to get more power I screw up my driveability. I could make more power but then I lose more on the low end. I guess I should just stay where I am.

I think 3" should suffice for your power level... I wish I need some 3" stuff. Make sure you put up some sound clips when you're done

Its got equal lengths, offroad x-pipe, and dumps right now so its quite loud and I imagine not very restrictive.
