2 days before a race and the stupid emergency brake light won't go out. I checked the cables, they aren't binding and the e-brake isn't on. So, it's something electrical. I'm just trying to make this a quick quick fix.........where should I check first?

I don't remember if it does, but doesn't low fluid in the Master Cylinder also trigger a "BRAKE," light??

The 2 easiest checks are the switch, it could be stuck or faulty, and your brake fluid level.

+1 on brake fluid level or your pads could be worn and It made the fluid level go down thats what happened to me...changed the pads and the light went off.

Different size tires on a ABS car
doing a burnout in a traction Control car.

And the winner is......................................

The sensor unthreaded itself and was dangling, hence it was always reading "brake on" . Thanks for the quick help, it made this a snap to find and fix.
