I'm thinking it's the belt... It's weird. When I'm idling and in neutral, I'll hear this annoying squeek. The weird thing is, if I depress the clutch even a TINY bit (and I mean tiny) it goes away. What's the deal? Also, when crusing at around 1,500RPMs, I can faintly hear it. Again, if I hardly push in the clutch pedal, it goes away. Is this just a bad pulley belt that needs to be replaced? Thanks for any help, guys.

How costly/difficult is this to replace? The noise is really getting on my nerves. I'm tired of holding my foot on the clutch at every light.

I know you have to drop the whole tranny to change it. Will proabably a pretty pennie, specially if you take it to the dealer.

I never go to the dealer. I have a very reputable mechanic.

I just live with the squeak. Until the thing goes out I wouldn't worry about it. Try spraying some lithium grease on it to see if it will quiet down.
