Alright, I understand that the 03 cobras and Bullit wheels will not fit a fox with the SVO front 5 lug rotors due to center cap/hub fitment. My question is will the 99-04 standard 17x8 GT wheels with the press on center cap fit on these SVO rotors? I have 2 extra sets of these and if they fit, then enough said. Someone please help me out. The 91 is about to hit the paint shop, pics will soon follow

Probably not as i do not think the spindles changed much from 96-03. You can get a set of SN95 spindles for like $200.... why not just do that?

I already have them BUT if I could save time with the standard GT wheels fitting the SVO rotors, then I would go that route. Are you sure or just an educated guess? Will the wheel itself not slide on or just the center cap itself?

The wheels will fit....I've seen them done, BUT you will not be able to use the center caps. I saw one guy with them and he CUT A HOLE IN THE CENTERS FOR THE SPINDLE! Needless to say, it was not pretty.

If you want to run the 96+ 17" wheels, just find the SN95 spindles and calipers.

Look on www.car-part.com for some possibly close sources. I find the complete setup for arouns $125 and I know someone that got the fronts complete for less than $100 shipped to him!

Good luck!

...just an educated guess about the hub size. I dont think the wheel would go on at all. Did you say you have a set of sn95 spindles? You could have them on in a day in your driveway... and not only would the wheels fit, but you would have bigger better brakes and improved geometry.

I understand the physical swap would not be difficult, .330 spacer, etc. BUT what brake line modifications would need to be performed to mate the lines to the sn95 calipers?

On the driver side the brake fitting is the same, but the passenger side will either need the hard line replaced ( as i did) or an adapter. You could prolly find an adapter that would work at the parts store. I put in tube A arms and a coil over kit when i did my swap so i didnt even need spacers or a spring compressor to put it all back together. I would highley reccomend.

I am currently using the stock K member but i hope to get a tubular in the near future, it will depend if i go with a modular motor or a traditional. The bolts that hold the arms on ( 2 big bolts) were a PITA. I had to cut 2 of them off, but assembley was cake - easier than reassembling the stock setup by 200%. I have a set of 98 Cobra front calipers and spindles that i polished and clearcoated.

I have wondered about this myself. One of my friends put Cobra R wheels on an 88 GT with SVO/Lincoln 5 lug dis brakes. The wheel fit fine , but the center cap wouldn't go on. Given the raised nature of the regular GT wheel center cap, do they fit? Like the 96-98 GT wheel, for example, looks good on the FOX mustang, I think it would fit, but I'm not sure.
