Another Cam Saga

Hey guys, new to the site.
Been talking to Thumper and Tmoss about combos. Anyone running and X cam with Thumpers? Like to know how this combo works.

The X will work fine!! the increase lift .542 w/244 duration @ .050 will still keep the velocity up and pull strong power!! Install the cam in like I suggested and you'll be rocking!!

I knew you would say that Thumper. I'm starting to think you're a little crazy. Anyone else running this cam? Will it idle with "reasonable" manners? I like a little lope but still want the stealth look and sound.

Yep.. I guess so..!! LOL now your looking for Stealth look and sound ?? then the X is tooooooo big, the E cam is more stealth with a performance lopy idle, and will make good power.

Sound like I'm back to square one. Looks like TFS stage 1 cam then. If I get bored with that I'll add 1.7s and spray the crap out of it. You did say you would sub any cam in your combo right?

Nothing stealthy about an X-cam. Even the E-cam is definately not stock sounding and the stage one sounds pretty close to the E.

Thumper: How would you install that X-cam? 4* advanced?

Yes the TFS1 cam is in the combo... yes, almost any cam will make a lopey idle , thus really killing the stealth SOUND any way!! LOL
We have found killer results running the X can in at 103 ICL, with gobs of low end over the 107 ICL it is cut on, and still making power thru the entire rpm range in a f/i engne! Cool? NOS, we put it in straight up and it pulls hard when wet.....

there are a lot of guys running the stock cam 4* advanced and seem real happy with it!! and no idle changes!!
