Sick man, I'm looking forward to seeing the progress come along.

That is awesome to hear that you don't have to sell the GT now.

i'm glad it worked out so i can keep the car.

i plan on either starting to pull the engine from the 95 ranger this week or swap the 8.8 into the 95 from the 2001. i already found a mini spool to throw in the 8.8 for $85

kinda ironic, that's an electric powered truck. mine will drink gas!!!

this past summer at some point (mid?)

they had to make a major update to the boards, this caused people with non-alphanumeric characters in their names to change.

actually, this was my original name that i registered under back in (either 09/2004 or 11/2004). but because of a system crash several months later, peoples accounts that 'recently' registered were not backed up or something to that effect. I had to reregister and decided to change the name to -=nighthawk=-. i like reddaemon better anyway

that color is rather difficult to duplicate.

thanks for the work.

did a leak down test tonight and it looks like a valve job will be needed. there are a couple of intake valves not seating up as they should. 5 out of 8 cylinders seem to be good and the 3 problem ones all seem to be intake valve problems.

prob gonna tear the engine down and hone it out and throw some new rings in it just to be on the safe side.

this will prob be the last of the 302 progress till after the new year. gonna work on cleaning everything up and getting both the 3.0 and 4.0 pulled from the trucks. hopefully the 8.8 will be swapped before the end of the month

I'm always down to follow a project build I am like most and just come in and lurk rather than posting being that I don't exactly have the experience to share any helpful tips

I'm definitely interested in seeing the progress.

Since you're gonna have the engine apart anyway, why not do some "minor" porting on the heads and throw a decent cam in there while your at it? Ford letter cams can be picked up cheap and you have a few to choose from.

picked up a mini spool for the new 8.8 that will be going in

i already have a nice new intake sitting here that came in this week. i'll be getting a new set of valve springs and a F303 cam along with some headers and other goodies for christmas.

not sure about the porting. i dont want to spend a lot on these heads b/c they will likely be swapped for some aluminum ones in the future.

i do plan on spaying 150 to it once everything is together

Nice man.

Well if you are going different heads later, forget porting these and just run the juice through it, haha.

What gear ratio are you going with for the rear?

Nothing wrong with freshening it up a bit while you have EASY access to everything. Traction is going to be your main concern as trucks generally have this problem. Ideas on tire you are going to run?
