Hey guys, I know you get this every day, but...

HOW MUCH POWER WILL THIS COMBINATION MAKE???

stock 302 bored .030 over
stock crank
Eagle I-beam rods
Speed Pro forged pistons:
http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=TRW%2DL2482F30&N=700+0&autoview=sku
Ford Racing E303 cam
Melling high-volume oil pump
Double roller timing set
Ford SVO GT40 aluminum heads:
http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=FMS%2DM%2D6049%2DY303&N=700+0&autoview=sku
Ford OE/Crane 1.7:1 Cobra roller rockers
Ford Explorer GT-40 intake manifold
FRPP 30# injectors
BBK 70mm TB / EGR spacer
C&L 80mm mass air meter
A9P computer
It will be backed by a built AOD transmission, and a built 8.8 with 3.73's

So I guess what I am asking is... can anyone tell me:
Compression ratio?
Horsepower and torque (at the crank)? and where is the peak?
Horsepower and torque (at the wheels)?
Also, what blower would work well with this engine, later on?

I know it's a tall order, but you guys always seem to come through!

Probably around 265-275rwhp 295-315rwtq. Your injectors are way too big. 24s or even stock 19s would be fine.

It looks like you basically built an FRPP GT40 crate motor. A buddy of mine has one of those with #24 injectors, speed density, and its mated to an Art Carr AOD, and his car put down 260rwhp.

Hahaha... yeah i guess i did build one of those. But i wanted the experience of doing it, so i paid the price.
I know the injectors are big, but they were cheaper than 24's
and i want to add a blower someday

If your going to get a blower than theres no reason to get rid of them. 30s are a bit big but the'll be fine.

yeah i will agree about the injectors being too big. get a adjustable fuel pressure regulator get it tuned until the blower, that will give u the most power. sbout 280-290 or so. but hey i could be wrong im drunk right now

270 with a good tune under your belt. I would look at maybe a better set of heads or custom cam as well if the budget is OK and your willing to make some changes...maybe even an RPM intake if your going boosted later on. IMO I would stay away from the C&L meters and go another route regarless of injector size, a good tuner will get you a nice A.F curve wether your injectors are too big or not.

UUMM...I think if he just built the motor he's not going to put a different set of heads on there now or even a cam...that wasnt his question. However i do agree with you on the MAF and the Injectors. The combination of that C&L and WAY oversized injectors isnt going to make it easy to tune. C&L are notorious for running foolishly rich and there is only so much "Fiddling" that can be done with injector pulsewidth, duration, and fuel pressure to tune that combo. I think your going to have a hard time. I would sell the injectors and C&l as a set and step down to 24's and a Pro-M. good luck man

Definately not smartin off man...Im just saying this guy just finished putting a motor togther...and anyone that has done that before can attest that you always spend more than you want to...and you never have money left over to be buying ANOTHER set of aluminum heads at $1000+. Im just being realistic. And i agreed with him bout the injectors and MAF...chill man

My boys...always sticken up for me , perk of being an old man I guess. I read his sig as 'future mods' and did not see in his post having mentioned the list as being items 'in hand', I saw it more as a list of desired items. Sorry if I misread

No worries man...I read posts too quickly all the time. Good to have boys lookin out. Im just saying i understand where this guy is commin from. I couldnt afford to do it all at once...and you have to make compromises. But i agree the most vital problem area will be tuning the car with those 30 pounders and that C&L. Anyways i would say bout 275 rwhp....Cheers!

Worst case scenerio is you need to find a tuner and have a chip burnt....I did and the results were just excellent...400$ got me perfect drivability and health boost in HP and TQ over my self tuned settings. As the car sits now the parts aquired will perform excellent on the street, you'll be very pleased...and like the rest of us, in a week you'll have adjusted to the gains and begin a quest for more..and more...and more...
