I am currently rebuilding my 2.3T, and I was wondering if these pistons are good or not...

Should I buy in a autopart like napa, or ebay is okay?

I dunno if you should use flat top pistons...wouldn't those create higher compression?

Flat top forged pistons were stock on the 79-81 carb turbo 2.3L's.

You would need to check the compression height. Dished pistons would be better but you could drop the compression a bit by opeing up the compression chamber and unshrouding the valves.

I've always been under the impression that you use dished pistons in boost applications...

Ideally you want to lower the compression ratio to improve volumetric cylinder filling.

I think you can get forged dish turbo pistons from Race Walsh but I dont have a current catalog.

Just for reference, you can get stock replacement forged turbo pistons from autozone for like 40 bux each...maybe 35. They are speed-pro brand.
