Will 1.6 rollers rockers fit underneath stock valve covers? My TF plenum hangs over the drivers side cover big time so I'm thinking bigger covers might not work/fit.. and do you think it's a worthwhile addition (a few HP gain)to my existing mods! Thanks!

Tks, lots of rr's to choose from. Not sure which one$ yet. Any reccomendations? Aluminum or steel, roller tips or a full roller? I'm not too familar with them... Tks!
bmo is right, remove the baffle and they should fit. Most head/cam manufacturers recommend full roller alumininum rockers. Unless you're a serious "class racer" there are all kinds of brands and prices. FRPP, harland-sharp, tfs, crane, etc. All are good, most are inaccurate. I read of an nmra racer who had to buy 3 sets of tfs rr's to get a full set of "true" 1.6 rockers, as they are torn down and measured, and must be actually 1.6. Not even crane "golds" were as accurate as the tfs rr's. Nothing to worry about on street or occassional strip use. I'm going to use the frpp setup.

Aluminum sounds good but I'm still a little confused on which ones you reccomend. TFS or FRPP? I must have read your post wrong? Sounds like it's hit or miss with these things as far as precision made?

I recommend all of them, I'm just going to use the ford rr's. The trick flows were the most accurate in tolerance that the guy could find. But like I said, his was "race only" and had to to spec'd exactly. On a daily driver/occasional strip car, I don't think that kind of accuracy is necessary. The nmra people are looking for cheaters, so they have to maintain tight specs.
As far as aluminum rr's go, I would guess that the head/cam manufacturers want the best numbers for their products, and the full rr's are lighter and faster than steel, less rolling resistance. That's why they're big, fat suckers that won't fit under your covers without removing the baffle. They are lighter, but if built to the same specs as steel they wouldn't last 10 minutes before breaking. Hope that helps you out.
