Just curious.. 248 hp with only a catback and a prochamber? I'm not saying you are wrong. Are you missing mods in your sig?

Sounds a little high to me too. I think 248 is with the stage 2's and untuned. Now that would sound more realistic.

248 was with the predator, bassani cat back, mach prochamber, and k&n filter. i pulled 248 rwhp and 287 rwtq. I have no gotten numbers with the cams in the car yet. I'm hoping for around 270 with the tune. I've seen this cams pick bring car with just flowmasters and theset cams no other mods and a tune pick up 27hp. The car went from 236rwhp to 264rwhp.

i cant wait till i put a set in my car, ive been planning it for a while but i am waiting until its out of warrenty. so next winter i think ill be installing the VTs. how long was install?(doing it myself) have you driven it hard since the cams? how many miles have you driven since install? also let me know how the predator tune goes, i also have a predator and am curious if you are getting a custom diablo tune offline or the dyno shop will just tune with the predator there?

I didnt install them myself had mustang magic put them in. You can get the car to run with the predator but really need a dyno tune to get it to run right. My idle is high right now and a diablo dealer can adjust many more values then we can with the predator. The cams have been in for about 800 miles now and yes i';ve gotten on them. There is no break in period for cams. For a clear piece of mind the best thing to do is to do an oil change earlier then normal

Holy cow, that sounds amazing. Now I want some Stage 1's. Oh, did you have to buy the 01+ cam gears? Ive heard that ours are press on gears. Also, do you mind telling us how much the install was? Great video man, loved it.

still press on cam gears. Told vt i have a windsor block and needed the gears and they sent me the ones i needed. I paid 1300 for the headgasket job (20 hours labor at 65 an hour) and then was charged 200 for the cam and spring install. My grand total 2100 plus 850 for the cams, gears, and springs with shipping. The 2100 was the install labor, head gaskets, head bolts, spark plugs, oil, filter, coolant, and all the other gaskets. The tune is also going to run me 250-300. I wouldnt have gotten the cams if it wasnt for the head gasket needing to be fixed. As for the people who say the link doesnt work. Wait 45 secs of so and the link will show up on the page

Those VT's sound good! I think your goal of 270 sounds good if a little conservative. Have your thought about long tubes?

so would there be any reason to even bother going with the Stage 1 VT's? or would it just be wise to get the stage 2's w/ the spring upgrade?

I could be wrong, but I would say the stage 2, the stage 1 isnt going to sound like that one does.

Sounds alright to me.
Mine dynoed at 246.79 hp and 290.20 lbs torque for first pole, then 248.96 hp and 291.86 lbs torque for the second pole, then for the last,it gave out 250.73 hp and 291.72 lbs torque. That was with only a Mac catted h pipe, ported upper plenum,HOT air intake, steeda timing adjuster, and flowmaster mufflers (which don't really give big hp #'s).
But then again,my stang has been called a freak.

Sorry for the hijack.
