I was tired of the old analog type, and wanted a radio to keep presets and time, and wasnt worried about it not playing cd's since I have a tape adapter anyway. First I had drilled the rivets out of the bottom of the ashtray and slid the face panel off. Next I unscrewed the slider bracket for the ashtray that was in the dash to give a little more room. I took some hinge and the face panel, took some measurements and then rivited the hinge to the face panel, and glued the other part of the hinge under the dash. Then made a bracket to support the back of the radio, and a flat panel on the bottom of the front of the radio with some velcro (unseen) to hold the front in place. Here is what I ended up with. You can easily see the face when driving and have access to all the preset buttons. The remote can control any buttom that would be hard to press (turing it on/off). Next I will get a radio delte plate and take my old radio out.

that looks good, I always hated butchering a dash. You should put the original AM back in the stock hole.
