anti-freeze leak

Ok so i've got a 98 musang with 200k and every since i've got it i can smeel anti-freeze when it gets really hot. over the summer though i found where one of the clamps was loose and it stopped the leak . but now i'm getting the smell again whenever i get the motor good and warm and i checked the other day and there was no puddle on the valve cover so it can't be the clamp again. anybody got any other ideas. i've also looked at the radiator and the hoses and see no evidence of a leak but i can definately smell it big time whhen i get out of my car though.

do you also smell it inside your car, while driving? if so, check to see that the heater core is not leaking...

No the only time i smell it is when i get out of my car and walk in front of it.

Hmm, not sure. there are so many hoses under the hood carrying antifreeze around, and some of those hoses corrode, like mine, when the clamps are on too tight. If I remember right, I think some mechanics have an expensive device that you can point to specific spots under the hood and it can tell you if it detects antifreeze, but of course it would cost money to get that done.
