On my 2008 Mustang I have the nav system from Ford. Well, after only 6 months most of it has flaked off or been rubbed off by cleaning the screen with only a moist towel.

Is this a warranty issue? A common issue?

Is there a spray coating I can reapply to the screnn (I assume no, but maybe someone here is an expert).

It is, but won't they just say it's wear and tear?

True, but in less than a year's time is unacceptable...it's called a warranty period for a reason

what do you have to lose by taking it to the dealer? Luckily after 1 1/2 years my screen is still fine, and if anything i just use a damp cloth with water to wipe it off real quick.
