ANTI-Theft Light/Chip Problem

Ok heres my problem...I have a SCT Chip that has run on the car for the last year. I needed to check the trouble codes tonight since the SES light was on. I also have have SCT handheld programmer. It wont work when I have the chip plugged in. After I checked the trouble codes I plugged the chip back in and the red light on the chip came on as well as the anti-theft light. The car will crank but will not start. I tried both of my keys. I think I had the key in the ignition when I took the chip out but the car was not on. Any ideas? I live in las vegas if anyone can help.

I have have the old sct chip no light but one time when I had it out then put it back the anti theft was flashing real quick. It turned out that the chip was not making good contact with the cpu.

Its not the connection, the car does the same thing with or without the chip plugged in

disconect the battery and wait 1/2 hour or so then retry again.. this will reset the pats system.. if you try too start the car and the pats light starts blinking thats the pats system preventing the car from starting.. if the system does not read a correct key then it disables the car for at least 10 minutes..
