Anti-theft System problems

I have a problem with my anti-theft system. When I insert the key and turn it to ON, the theft light flickers and the car won't start. It will crank, but not start. Also, the fuel pump comes on, but never seems to pressurize, and never shuts off. I have suspected the key, but I'm not sure. Does anyone have any ideas on what it may be? Thanks.

Did you have a new key cut at all? If there was a new key cut it could have have been coded wrong, if not it is the ring around the ignition cylinder, if you try 3 times and it still senses no correct code then it will go into lock mode, what i would do is reset the computer and then try a different key and see what happens, what caused it to start doing this did you have and work done to the car? like a aftermarket security system or remote start? good luck let me know if i can help more, pm me cause i do not read this forum often Dan
