Any Diff between Cobra and Explorer Lowers?

Buddy of mine just picked a used cobra intake. Just wanted to clarify a couple things.... Is there a difference between cobra and explorer lower intakes? Do they have the same part number? What has to be done if anything to the explorer lower?

The explorer lowers don't have the holes drilled and tapped for the coolant lines and temp sensor. but on the older lowers, the bosses for them were still there.
Other than that, they are the same.

They are the same casting, but the runner's cross section do vary some. I've seen the Cobra lowers have slightly better sections. You didn't give the heads to be used for the intake, so it's hard to say if the Explorer lower needs porting. For any head that flows more than ~220cfm, you need to port the lower.
