My car was broken into about a week ago and they took the center console and all of the wires that go with it, including the cigarette lighter.

Now, because of this, my Dallas Mustang SpeedCal no longer works. The red wire is dangling above the inner shift boot and has nothing to connect to. I tried jumping it to my convertible top harness (14V idling) and also an alarm wire (13V idling), but neither worked, the speedo just sits at 0.

Mind you, it might not be a SpeedCal issue, but regardless my speedometer is not functioning. It just sits at 0 regardless of my speed.

If there are any SpeedCal or Speedometer experts out there, can you lend a helping hand? My dash doesn't appeared to be tampered with.

Also, if your instructions require me to pull the bezel around the radio/vents, please instruct on how to properly do that. I tried and failed...I really do not feel like braking anything else at this point.

I will take pictures and post as soon as possible.

Thanks again :SNSign:

The red wire is the power wire for your speedcal. Is should connect to the positive power wire for your lighter. Even if they took your center console the wire harness should still be there for your lighter (Hopefully they didnt cut it).

The speed cal should have been connected to the power from your cigarette lighter from a scotch lock. My guess is when they yanked it out the power cable pulled out of the scotch lock.
