Back pain = . I had a dirtbike accident when I was 20 that compound fractured 3 vertabra (crushing breaks) right between my shoulders. I was VERY lucky not to be paralized but the pain is always there and one reason I do alittle bit at a time and tend to walk away from it for a few months at a time. I push myself kinda hard on some stuff and I pay for the next few days or weeks so I feel your pain.

If you have help its not too bad...but I would also say wait and see how thing heal up before you throw in the towel and get rid of a car you put so much into.

Also who is to say if you already have the money saved up you could not have the mustang and DD a DAMN nice family truckster in one of the SRT models. I doubt that a shortblock (IIRC that is your issue) will cost 13k for what your combo is, working on your 1/3 socked away for a 40k car. Unless your thinking of building a stroker dart based forged shortblock of course.

"Help" with the car would be an understatement. I cant thank Joe and Roger enough (and a few others) they have given me with this car. Im thinking 15k would have this car almost Show-quality with speed compared to the same 15k just for a down payment. I wouldnt be able to buy a NEW CAR until next spring anyway, so there is plenty of time to decide. Roger said if we dont change the K member, our work will really be pretty easy and straight forward..

Thanks
RC

15k would make your car more than almost show quality ...thats like saying an killer kinda has the nickname "the car that set the bar". I bet 99% of this board thinks your car is way past almost show quality as it sits.

What I meant by that is I want to do some interior stuff...maybe the front seats...I would like to get some Brembro's, a little more on the suspension, and the rest of the $$ for a new paint job. I would like to get rid of the body kit, put on a XENON front bumper (instead of just that dumb skirt) a Cobra R hood, and the 281 wing instead of what I have. Im looking at about $3k for the hood, wing, bumper and paint job.

Thanks
RC
