I currently have an offroad h-pipe on my car, but I was wondering if I would see any gains by switching to an offroad x-pipe (the UPR one inparticular). Has anyone done this and seen an improvement?

No, Nothing that you will notice at all. If there is a gain its probably only a couple hp. X pipe sounds more raspy than the rumble produced by an H. I want to get a prochamber.

yeah, you will notice more change in tone vs the change in power. you might pick up handful of ponies though.

Right. An X might net some improvement in top-end, but it wont be near enough to feel and definitely not enough to show up on the average driver's time slip.

the difference between the power of an X and an H is negligable, up to top end, where the X mops the floor with an H pipe.

the sound alone is worth the change ...sell the h pipe after you change to x pipe and you will only be dishing out a couple bucks for that x pipe

Gotta chime in...my MagnaFlow X-Pipe/Borlas sounds like this . Almost like a BB with race pipes , at the same time on the hwy its quiet as a mouse, but oh so busy soundin'. Btw, when I got my Magnaflow, it was like 370 bucks shipped, its now like 450 Cheers.
