My Summit distributor apparently had gone south on me. I put my stock one back it and that solved my misfiring issues.

I would like to put a new PIP in the Summit dizzy and put it back on the car. Anybody have a recommendation for a PIP that won't burn out in a couple months?

Is the motorcraft PIP worth the extra cash?

As posted by someone else, all the aftermarket parts stores are selling rebranded BWD, which is a division of standard motor company. I sold these parts for years and had very few returns for defects. I think they work well enough. Probably not worth the extra cash for the motorcraft. Most of the motorcraft parts aren't made by the OEM manufacturer anymore anyway. They've all trickled down to the Chinese and Taiwan aftermarket peeps.
