Installing some new wiring and newer connectors in my 83 and where the factory connectors allowed 2 wires on one side of the connectors, my new weatherpack connectors will not... Are there any types of mechanical splices besides " U Haul" trailer garbage I could use?? Trying to do this correctly....
Any help here please.......

I've used these and they work great. You will need the proper crimper but they're cheap on amazon.

I've cut the plastic cover off a butt connector then solder the two wires into one end and a single out the other and covered it with shrink tubing.

I used connectors like those recently, so those might work depending on your application.

These are the crimpers I bought for the connectors.

Otherwise, I'd suggest the same as @General karthief - splice 2 into one side of a butt connector, the 3rd wire on the other side, and heat shrink it all together.

Here are some pics... The General is more intune with what I need help with... 16-18 gauge wire for my AC system on the car.... I had hoped there were some " professional" ways to do this in the last 30 years since I last looked......
The top picture is the stock connector.. The top left green/bare wire comes in one side and only one wire comes out the other side.. Power splits off there and goes to two different areas...
Bottom pic is the new Weatherpack connectors I am using. The blue rubber grommet needs to be round to work....

I've depinned the connector before. You can still get a lot of these various crimps online, even amazon. Would need to see what style connector pin that is. In the past, i've recrimped two wired to one terminal and then just added it back to the plug.

No problem. Usually I’d just use the next size up connector, and fold over the wire for the single wire side of the butt connection, but the step down connectors are definitely the better way to do them. Only downside is cost

I've used that thing on boats and on cars.

I thought it would be a PITA to use [in/on] the car but it's not. If you have the coin, I'd get the next kit up that comes with the battery-operated heat gun.
