Well I was at the track and on my last run the car was detonating real bad and before I could stop I had alot of smoke blowing out my dipstick tube,And now the car stumbles and runs ruff,There is no smoke emitting from the tail pipes and the oil pressure is higher than normal,And It doesn't over heat at all,Does anybody know what might of happened? Did I fry a ring? Headgasket? Please help me out if ya could

The motor is all stock (94 Cobra 5.0) w/ a Vortec S-trim

timing might be off... possibly jumped timing. one question though, how did you know the dipstick tube was blowing smoke before you stopped? is that possible. maybe i just misunderstood. but anyways, its probably a timing issue....check it to make sure. thats the easiest thing to check at any rate

Sounds a lot like blow by to me? Like compression was getting past. It would explain the excessive pressure in the crankcase and rough idle. Did it by any chance give you a big "chug" under hard detonation like there was a big miss? I don’t want to scare you, but you may have damaged a piston. They’re only hypereutectic in those things, you know? It may not be bad enough to puff any noticeable smoke out of the tailpipe, and it wouldn't overheat if it was damaged. Oil pressure would only be affected to any noticeable extent if there was bearing damage.

Pull out the spark plug and check out the electrode. If it's no longer there, then there's a good chance that it could have taken the piston with it.

Well smoke started coming from the hood and after I stopped and looked under the hood I noticed the dipstick was sticking half way out,At idle it runs ruff like a miss,And while we were under the hood we rev'ed it slightly and smoke puffs out the dipstick tube,I never heard and poping sound or anything and the car was runing fine until that last run at the track so I'm pretty clueless,

Pull the plugs. You may have got lucky and just fried an electrode with the pre-ignition. This will cause the car to miss and load up on fuel in that particular cylinder giving you puffing smoke. The only thing that worries me is that it's coming through the crankcase.
