I assume by "contingency" you're referring to a ride home? Apart from wear on brake pads, tires and rotors (in that order?), what parts are at risk in these courses, if assuming one weekend a month? How much track time do you get?
And one more question (!) what kind of setup and tire size/rating would be "nice to have", for road courses? My car has eibach prokit springs, subframe connectors and the stock Comp T/A tires, if i get the weight right it feels very flat when cornered aggressively.
Hey Jennifer
I just posted on the west coast board. Speedventures is running big willow on 6/30 and 7/1. I was just letting people know that the sign up is really lite and we sure could use some more people.

What car do you have? Do you want to use the tires for just track or do you want to street them too? What % street/track will the car see?.
The driving courses are usually one day or a two day weekend. You will see about a hour on track in a one day course. If you just want track time I would recomend open track days with one of your local track bookies. What part of the country are you in? Out here in the west, http://speedventures.com will get you 2+ hours of in the seat time and we do offer instruction. We do lead follows to teach the "Line" We do ride alongs or drive your car for you. We give ride alongs in our cars. When we have a lite turn out we allow you to run extra sessions. I have seen some guys get 4 hours of on track time in one day. They went home tired LOL
I'd consider booking a 2 day if I could get a guarentee of a 30 minute ride along with you where you hit at least 120 between 9 and 1 and carry the rabbit ear at no less than 80 at the apex.
You are welcome to a ride along anytime I am at the track. Which is almost every Speedventure event. I help Aaron run the events. the passenger side is set up with a 5 pt. How about 130 through 8 and 140s 9-1 The omega is usually high 70s but I can hit 115 2-3 before the uphill.
I will be at the track all day Saturday but not on Sunday. We have a 07 cobra comeing out. I drove it a month ago at Calspeedway roval. It was a lot of fun even for a 4000+ weight.
We do have 2 days on the roval in December. I have fun there and 10 mins from my house doesnt suck. Its a bit pricy but thats what they charge us.
It would be great to see you at the track. Have you driven with SV before?
