like it says. I was wondering if any of you guys have had a warped stock head. I know that the driver side had been leaking for a while but when I pulled it off, there was nothing visually wrong with the gasket. just sorda wondering what was going on.

It's possible, but Iron heads don't warp as easy. You'd have to really overheat it. A machine shop can put a straight edge on it for you. Probably do it for free if you're nice to them.

I do. Sometimes I'll turn around to do something and then BOOM, I totally forget what I was doing, and...
wait a minute. Nevermind.

Your going to want to get them decked anyways, so drop them off at a machine shop to be cleaned, and decked, and they will check them for cracks/warp.

see if you can borrow a straight edge from someone. A chassis mechanic should have one. So put it on, apply some pressure (not alot, just enough to prevent the feeler gauge from lifting the straight edge) and see if you can get a .004 feeler gauge inbetween the two along the head surface.
