any one drill a hole on flowmaster ? can you put a pix where to drill ?

I dont use my mustang much, and alway short trip drive, I found some steam and clear water drip out when ever I stop drive, and I know those water will cause rust, my flowmaster is only 3 month old, and some say drill a hole on the flowmaster to drain out the water. I just dont know where to drill. thanks

While h2o is a normal part of the combustion process if you have excessive amounts that is a sign of larger problems. Drilling holes will only ruin your muffler.

the delta 44 mine is have black coat, but I beleive inside is rust easy if water stay in it. Most friend recomment long drive 30+ min to get all water out.

Like you just mentioned, you really shouldn't ever start a car unless you plan to drive it somewhere. Getting it up to operating temp for at least a few minutes will ensure that the water fully evaporates out of the exhaust system.

And then when you shut the car off and the exhaust cools off, guess what...............? More water in the muffler. It will happen every time the exhaust cools, water will condense in the muffler. One of the byproducts of combustion is H20 (water)
