Anyone have a 2-piece fuel pump eccentric they would be willing to part with for a reasonable price? Please?

If not, anyone know where I can find one, I'm struggling here. There aren't any good junk yards around me, so that really isn't an option.

Thanks a lot guys, the 331 is coming along nicely by the way...

You can buy a new one from E-Bay . . . or you can try rockauto.com

Neither are very expensive . . . maybe $10-$15 or so for NEW, not used.

The block is a '69 302, the cover is a '65 (the iron wp one, not the alum wp one) and I have the Pro-Gear Double Roller timing chain. I called DSS and he recommended the 2-piece.

I didn't know there are multiple versions of the 2-piece. Holy crap, too many cover and eccentrics, an electric pump is looking better all the time...

With Coolblue65's new info, are they all the same size? The guy from DSS said they set up all the crate engines with the 2-piece... I see, said the blind man peeing in the wind...

I'm guessing one has a hole for the cam dowel to go into and the other has a tab bent in that hold the eccentric in place so it can't spin?

If so, I'll have to check tonight when i get home for which one I would need, but I'm pretty sure it's the one with the tab bent in.

Let me check tonight and I'll get back to you later. Thanks a lot Dutch.

The two on the right are 2-piece units (the one on the left is my original 1 piece), its not easy to see but one is slightly thinner then the other, and one has the bent tab and one has the hole for the dowel pin.

I used a DSS shortblock with an aluminum cover, I used the two piece and the dowl pin as it was the thinnest combination and clearance is already tight.

So I'm guessing that means that the 2-piece you have is larger than the one you are using, so it won't work for my setup... Are you using the Progear double roller timing set that DSS puts on their long blocks or something else, cuz that has got to play a part in it I would think...

Thanks for your wisdom my good man.

Right on, thanks! I just got home and looked at the engine and I am pretty sure I'll need one with the tab that bends in, not the cam dowel kind. What is the 2-piece one you have?

Good lookin' out!

The one I have here is the one with the bent tab. Obviously no 2 blocks are exactly the same so it may work for you, you just need to check the clearances.

BTW dura bond bearing company has 2 piece kits, 1 piece kits, ect. Also you can compare different year motors/timing covers, ect. I got mine from them and it was great.

Do you happen to have a part number for the one you went with? Did you get your 331 as a shortblock or a longblock? If longblock are you using the pro-gear double roller timing set?

If the one Coolblue65 is sending me doesn't work out Dura bond is my next stop. Thanks!

So did you just call then up, tell them your combo, then they sent you one that would fit, or what? Thanks for the advice.

Can someone advise what year Ford switched to 2-piece eccentrics (on 302 w)? Someone said it was in 72 1/2, I also called summit tech and the guy said in 84. There should not be multiple types of the eccentrics; or am I wrong? If there are is it easy to modify these eccentrics (e.g. by grinding, drilling a hole, etc.) to fit to whatever block?
