I have Mac Long tube Header, Mac ProChamber H-Pipe and a Dynomax catback system. I have had the catback system since I bought the car new in 1995. The mufflers are starting to come a part and rust. The tailpipes are rusting also. So I am getting ready to order a new catback system and was thinking about a Bassani system or a Mac system. I have heard pretty good things about the Bassani system and was just wondering if any one has it and what they think of the sound and the performance. If any one has any thing to say about the Mac system please let me hear it also. Any help would be great thanks.

My cousin runs the bassani cat back on his car. The quality is second to none. It sounds great too. His came with removable baffles in the tips. With them in the car is pretty quite, with them out it sounds mean as hell. He has a bassani off road X too.

I have the Bassani catted X and just put on their catback a couple months ago. Absolutely evil sounding at WOT.

Overall, I'd say that these are the nicest tips I've seen, drone is much less, first rate quality, and the sound is awesome. I had a local muffler shop adjust the catback a bit to make sure the there was enough clearance from the frame rails, passenger rear tire, and gas tank (no problems now at all). The X with cats typically hangs lower than an H by an inch or two, but I had mine tucked in pretty good, so a little tweaking was neeeded with the catback (got to be able to drive into my driveway).

Now that the setup is complete, comments are sure more frequent.

I'd recommend the Bassani setup to anyone. My experience has been great and I'm glad its over and I've got the sound I've been looking for. :)
