I was pondering today the thought of taking my car up to 16* today and throwing in a bottle of octane booster with the usual primo. I went to the parts store and all they had is that 104+ stuff for like 10$ a bottle. Im not about to pay an extra 10$ on top of 3.30 a gallon. I remember someone telling me about some booster that came in tiny little bottles that was pure booster without all the additives for like 1.50 a bottle. Any one know about this stuff? Also do I really need booster if Im running 16*? Will really feel the differance

I wouldn't bother. You're not going to increase the overall octane enough to make any real difference, and within small octane and timing change territory like you're in, it comes out to a wash.

MHO.
Good luck.

I bumped the timing up to 16 and drove it for a week or so and I didn't really notice a change. Then I bought the Lucas octane booster and maybe it's just me but I noticed a difference.

Oh yeah, my car is bone stock except for exhaust.
