Any opinions on this gauge pod setup?

Never seen one like that before......Guess its no different then the Autometer 2 gauge pod that mounts pretty much the same way.

I kinda like it though

I like it actually. I think as long as it sits well on the dash with no gaps due to poorfitment, it could almost look like a factory upgrade.

Also (i know it's not your car) I don't have a problem with a 5"tach as much as I do the poor excuse for a mounting location that guy chose. Just looks out of place to me, has to create a nasty blind spot haha.

I have to drill a hole to snake the wires for the gauges through regardless...


By the way... this gauge pod is made by Florida 5.0. I just got in contact with one of their reps when inquiring about shipping. Now I'm positive the quality will be top notch.

cant you wrap the wires nice and tight with some very small zip ties and clean it up with some heat shrink? then, run them straight back to the defrost vent? that's what i would do to avoid the holes in my dash.

I could. I've been thinking of ways to pull it off cleanly. I'll post pics once I have it in my hands.

personally i think the one the op posted is cheap and hideous.


i have a 99 mustang. i know that this doesnt mount up the windshield view.....but i wanted something that was not going to attract the attention of every ricer who pulled up next to me. it mounts in the factory cd player location and i have 3 autometer cobalt gauges in mine.
