This thing looks really sweet! How is it on a N/A car? But why is it so freaking expensive?

probably bc its a racing manifold. if it accepts a 90mm tb, definently not for your daily driver

Intakes like that make power only on the higher rpm spectrum. I have a friend that funs one in his fox body and it breathes more than enough but he has a motor(racing only) that works with it. Not an any way shape or form for the daily driver.

Unless your daily driver happens to have a 393, or bigger.

Its for big rpms and big cubes. Another problem with it, is you need to tap all your own coolant holes.

It is my favorite looking manifold though.

to me, it looks a lot like a 4.6 style intake. but i guess the runners on the 4.6 are longer than the spyder's are?

what if it was on a blower motor? would it be ok then?

i understand that runner length is important for low rpm power. so why don't carbureted engines have low rpm problems? or are they bad in the low rpm range?

it probably is even too much for your average h/c/i blower car...this thing is really ment for the real big boys....well over 351 cubes....

A blower will help very little unless you motor is using very high rpm's. The power rang for that intake probably starts at 3500 and up i'm not sure.

I've been asking about this intake for awhile. CHP was putting them on their 393/408 strokers. I always wondered what the powerband would be like with that intake.

There have seen magazine tests where those Spyder manifolds made 40 more horsepower than the competitors over the same RPM range. I'm not sure who the "competitors" were.
