I've noticed that these seem to be the new thing. Do they actually work better than the old type that you lock in with the allen screw, or is it just a gimmick?

I use it on my 90, I cant caompare it to anything else since it's all I got, but I think they work well and does the job great, probably just a little PITA to adjust if you have big hads, LOL. hope this helps!:SNSign:

The new style adjuster is nice, I am not sure I would get rid on an old style to switch but if you do not have one it is nice.

Fiore or the UPR

Get the Fiore,period.

UPR-"Unlimited Pirated Ripoffs",copied the Fiore adjuster and did a crap job.

The UPR version doesn`t have the front bearing feature that the Fiore has and the Fiore is better built imo.

I believe the difference in price between the two is only $10.

I've spoken with Fiore on many occasions, and it's sadly unfortunate about UPR ripping off his design. In the end, he didn't have a patent, it's his loss, however get his original piece, it has amazing quality. I tested a set he sent me and wrote a full writeup. Click the link in my sig for that.

In short, it works very well. However, perhaps my favorite aspect about the fiore fwa, UPR fortunately didn't rip off. the fiore unit has a rotating sleave inside of it where the cable slides into. Because of this, the clutch cable does NOT hang and make the fwa stick like all other fwa's I've tested. Usually, once you get some good preload dialed in, and that cable tightened, the fwa becomes so stiff to turn, that you literally will scrape the skin off your fingers trying to tighten it more. (this with all other fwa's) Fiore has that internal sleave, so it rotates very smoothely around the cable, no sticking. Hopefully you'll support his product and not buy from upr.

I have tried a bunch of different fwa's.........I'm now using the Fiore, and it's definitely the best of the bunch - well worth the money. You won't be sorry.

What's the price on the Fiore?

Will it be easier to adjust than my Steeda (PITA)?

Keep in mind that I've got a PD blower in the way.

It should definately be easier to adjust with the front bearing feature.

PD blower.Shouldn`t be an issue I`m assuming.

It`s made in the USA.

it's a breeze to spin thanks to that sleeve, no more stripped fingers. WHere is it in the way? I once installed an sn95 booster, then the fwa HIT the booster when adjusting it out. If you have that kind of issue, go with a longer quadrant, such as the ford racing quadrant. that will cause the cable to grab further back, thus pulling more slack out, and only a turn or two of the fwa.
