Anybody burning hoses in AOD

I just installed a set of BBK 1 5/8 unequal shorties in my 89 5.0 and as I drove home after the install I noticed a burning smell so I pulled over to investigate and found out that my air tube hose that comes off the H-Pipe into the engine compartment (passenger side) was rubbing up against the #3 and #1 exhaust port header pipe. Does anybody have a fix for this problem because the hoses are preformed

My air hoses don't rub, but then again I have Hedman's. Maybe get some zip ties and tie it away from the header.

I just replaced my heddman hedders with the BBK ones and the Heddman had NO problems at all other than leaking after many years of faithful service

You probably didnt "twist" the hose out of the way when you put the hoses back on common problem. You can just loosen the hose and twist it toward the shock tower and tighten it. That way you will have enough clearance between header and hose. Hopefully it didnt ment a hole through.
