These damn mustangs i tell yah. They are like a money pit. Its just like you could mod everything on the car and spend every dime you got and not have it finished. I've modifyed everything on my car except the engine. And quite frankly i'm not even gonna jump into that anytime soon. Because i dont want to dump 10 g's in on it. Although when i do it, it will be all done at once, 306 w/ FRPP engine kit and kenne bell. Right now i'm satisfied with the factory hp. One day i will have 500+ HP. But right now i've kinda pushed the Mustang aside for awhile. Once i finish getting the saleen wing on and putting in my 3rd set of axles, i'm gonna quit spending money on it for a while. My new project is gonna be a 2005 F350 Quad Cab Deseil pick up. I love those trucks. Then i'll start modify that(chip, exhaust) and the mustang will def be pushed aside. Its only a weekend driver the way it is. Considering i dont' drive my mustang in the rain, snow, or ****ty weather. I practicely never drive it. Maybe 3k a year? So i just feel like i'm gonna go ahead and buy my dream truck. I'm part of a family owned dealership so i can get that 30k truck for only 25k. If you go to my cardomain. Thats exactly what i'll have. I just think that i'll pass up on my 500hp to get a sick ass truck. Anybody else got the same problems?

i havent gotten to that point yet with the stang but thats cuz i dont have it yet lol. i was like that with my gtp though. man i put paycheck after paycheck into my baby and it felt like i was just treading water. just when you think youve gotten a certain stage of your build done you look and see all the other stuff that is left to do. so ya i feel your pain. on the same note im looking forward to doing it all over again with a stang.

I figure its either the stang or a hooker, and usually the hooker is by the hour so you know....

money pit, yeah... but still cheaper than buying a new car and having to pay monthly payments, loosing thousands of dollars out of the dealership, and pay high insurance rates

I just pace myself...

Caution : torque is addictive... these cars can empty a bank account faster than it can empty a gas tank lol

Between the turbo stang and my damn mountain bike….I'm a broke man! Hell, my rear wheel build for the bike is ~ $500 alone! My disc brakes (hydraulic, 4 piston caliper) for the bike were ~ $ 250+ per wheel!

Add to all of that my "fixer upper" house...

Well, (god help me) I've got THREE cars (2 Stangs and a Capri) to pour my money into now. I'm not going to mod the hell out of the '86 or '04 (<--no point, it's a V6) but the Capri will most likely become my expensive toy.

Depends... when I first get the money and spend it on the car I am excited, but if I am out driving then and see something better I'm like why do I keep dumping money into this car? Dunno.. I'm torn

I get sick of it especially when 1 thing leads to another.....
Example:
"I am really choked on the intake side so I will get a lightning MAF. BUT to make the LMAF work I need to get a PMS or a tweecer. Then because I will be moving more air I need to get bigger injectors/fuel pump....."
It is never ending.

frankie.. your always messing with the stangs/capri.. but i never hear about your daughter.. what do you do, just give her the boot and throw a gun at her and tell her to fend for herself? lol

As for me.. i dont have much money.. i usually have 50 at the beggining of the week.. and nothing at the end. Leaving me little to use for any mustangs.. so i wheel and deal, selling what i do have, trade up, out in and around.. to get what im looking for.. this summer will be fun though, 40 hours a week.. 10 dollars an hour.. should be interesting to see where the turbo kit gets going heh

This is how it goes for me: this past winter I rebuilt the engine and swapped out the powerdyne for a vortech, spending money on the car didnt bother me until the end when I went over the limit I wanted to spend on it alittle. But after about a month I started icthing to buy more stuff for it, for example Id like to do something with the interior next and add a 6 point cage. But after all is said and done the money is spent and the car is together I never regret the money I put into it.

LOL! No, my kids come first, of course. What do you think I am?

I've got some funds saved up and can afford it right now is all. Plus, she works too and is hardly ever home.
