Anybody else get sick of spending money on the STANG?

20 years, this Mustang still takes my money faster than my ex-wife. Only this doesn't bother me, didn't get into it to expand my portfolio. Why else do I work? My kids get the money first(horseback riding is expensive as h---), then, you gotta eat, I guess. And I like to live indoors. After that the hockey team and the Mustang are it. But I wouldn't do anything constructive with it other than those things anyway.

Every time I look at my credit card balance as a result of my past expendatures on my Notch, I feel nauseous. Not that I regret now having a Fox that I've pretty much resurrected from near-death, and it's ... well ... FAIRLY reliable (even though it just started puking power steering fluid the other day), but paying for the crap just never seems to end. And, as all cars go, the better you treat them, the worse they treat you ... especially when you own more than one at a time. I swear, no sooner had I pulled that '94 T-Bird into my driveway than the Notch simultaneously left a puddle of fluid from the driver's side boot on the steering rack. Ugh... :nonono:

Well i'm part of a family owned business. We have a blanket that covers all of the dealerships vehicles. So it doens't matter if we own a Ferrari or a tempo. Its the same costs. So i dont' pay insurance on my mustang or the truck i'll be getting. I also get paid cash in hand and have no taxes or SS takin out as i work for my family. And as for a loan, i do not pay any interest or anything as the person i have a loan to, is the dealership which we own. So i have it made. It also allows me to only run one plate on my mustang because i use a Dealer plate so i no longer have a front license plate. THANK GOD. there so ugly.

My friend has it similar, family owned business gets a lot of write offs and freebies from it. I could only Imagine what Id be driving right now if I had these perks... Sucks having to actually work and pay for everything you got the hard way!

"Sucks having to actually work and pay for everything you got the hard way!"

Are you saying i dont work for it? I put in over 40 hours a week while in school. I may get some Flipping sweet benefits like no taxes and not paying insurance. But don't get me wrong. I put my hours in and work hard for the money i earn. I just save tons as i dont have taxes.

No I am not saying that, I am saying when the government takes taxes out, and you have to pay for everything, you just have to work harder to make the same kind of money. And I know people who work 40 hours a week on top of full time school, I would never want to be that person, but then again I only had my 5.0 and a Grand Cherokee Limited in HS, never needed more!

exactly i just have same engine rebuitllt trans but no upgrades just basic transpo.
I mean if u take care of what you got and are lucky well it doesnt have to be a money pit.
Remeber that any car especially cars of this age will always need something nature of cars in general.
