Anybody From Burlington NC

I've already been to two of those sites, I'll try the middle one also, Thanks!

Now that your wheels are in you just need that Redfire '05.
Hey, I was thinking, what about a white '05 with blue Shelby stripes? :nice:

Tabitha saw the car she wants for her first car last night. I did not think she could suprise me with her car choices anymore but.... she wants a Maverick!! Yes, a mid '70's MAVERICK!! She says they are a cool "Muscle car". I told her they were NOT a "muscle car" :nonono: but if we could find one that was still in one piece, it should be in her price range. Then she said the mid 70's hatch back Mustangs were cool! I think I need to re-evaluate how we are raising her!
She is like your daughter and does not like the Fox bodies.

Tim,

I got to tell you, Tabitha may be onto something. I worked for Ford back in the '70's and was pretty impressed with the Maverick.

Sweet little car. :)

It did not have the performance car image of the Mustangs or Torinos of the day but they were nice. I worked on quite a few that had 302s in them. They were tight, well made cars with a ton of torque and a very clean body line.

They reminded me of what the Mustang started from. In '71/'72, the Mustang had grown into that heavy flatback design.

I think they would be a great hop up car today.

Tabitha is a pretty smart young lady.... :nice:

The '05 redfire may be a while. Seems Ford isn't producing cars with the IUP package with the MyColor instrument package in January. Called the 18G interior code to the dealer order sheets. Net talk has some guy sueing Ford over patent infringements or something. That..or they are getting orders for that package option faster than the supplier can deliver.

I don't really care about the MyColor thing but I do want the rest that comes with the Interior Upgrade Package.

I can imagine what co-ordinating the assembly line can be like and having to deal with Tier 1 suppliers.

I manage a weaving plant and have enough problems with suppliers. And mine aren't nearly as many as Ford has in building a car. And none of those are Tier 1 rated either!
